Print Prebill Report

The Print Prebill Report screen is divided into two sections; System Parameters and User Parameters. In the System Parameters section, the user must specify details for the format of the report; in the User Parameters section, the user must specify details pertaining to the content of the report. Report Description

The Print Prebill Report is generated for one Client and Matter at a time, and can be produced in Detail and/or Summary format. This report is a lifetime to date report, and displays the history of a  Client/Matter's financial information. Report details include information about WIP Fees (both billed and non-billable), WIP Disbursements, Trust, and AR for the specified Client and Matter.

 

User Parameters

Client Number
The user must manually enter the unique identifier of the Client for whom the report will be generated.

Matter Number
The user must enter the unique identifier of the Matter for which the report will be generated.

WIP Date Range X to X
The user must manually enter the dates to define the range of WIP transactions that will be included in the report information (i.e. all WIP transactions that occurred within this date range will be included in the report). The first of these two fields defaults to "01-JAN-1970", and the second defaults to the current system date.

Trust Date Range X to X
The user must manually enter the dates to define the range of Trust transactions that will be included in the report information (i.e. all Trust transactions that occurred within this date range will be included in the report). The first of these two fields defaults to "01-JAN-1970", and the second defaults to the current system date.

Accounts Receivable Date Range X to X
The user must manually enter the dates to define the range of Accounts Receivable transactions that will be included in the report information (i.e. all AR transactions that occurred within this date range will be included in the report). The first of these two fields defaults to "01-JAN-1970", and the second defaults to the current system date.

Print Summary Page
To include a summary page with the report (i.e. a page summarizing the information in the main report), the user must select "Y" (ie. Yes) from the list provided; to not produce the summary page, the user must select "N" (ie. No) from the list provided. The user also has the option to manually enter either "Y" or "N". If the user chooses to produce the Summary page, they must then select the information to be included on that page (options explained below). This field defaults to "N".

Print Unbilled Time
To include Unbilled Time in the report (either Detail or Summary), the user must select "Y" (ie. Yes) from the list provided; to not include Unbilled Time, the user must select "N" (ie. No). The user also has the option to manually enter either "Y" or "N". By default, Unbilled Time will be included in Detail, but not in Summary (ie. the Detail column defaults to "Y", and the Summary column defaults to "N").

Print Non-Billable Time
To include Non-Billable Time in the report, the user must select "Y" (ie. Yes) from the list provided; to not include Non-Billable Time, the user must select "N" (ie. No). The user also has the option to manually enter either "Y" or "N". This field default to "Y". Non-Billable Time cannot be included in the Summary information.

Print Unbilled Disbursements
To include Unbilled Disbursements in the report (ie. in either Detail or Summary), the user must select "Y" (ie. Yes) from the list provided; to not include Unbilled Disbursements, the user must select "N" (ie. No). The user also has the option to manually enter either "Y" or "N". By default, Unbilled Disbursements will be included in Detail, but not in Summary (ie. the Detail column defaults to "Y", and the Summary column defaults to "N").

Print Accounts Receivable
To include Accounts Receivable information in the report (ie. in either Detail or Summary), the user must select "Y" (ie. Yes) from the list provided; to not include Accounts Receivable information, the user must select "N" (ie. No). The user also has the option to manually enter either "Y" or "N". By default, Accounts Receivable will be included in Detail, but not in Summary (ie. the Detail column defaults to "Y", and the Summary column defaults to "N").

Print Trust
To include Trust information in the report (ie. in either Detail or Summary), the user must select "Y" (ie. Yes) from the list provided; to not include Trust information, the user must select "N" (ie. No). The user also has the option to manually enter either "Y" or "N". By default, Trust inforamtion will be included in Detail, but not in Summary (ie. the Detail column defaults to "Y", and the Summary column defaults to "N").

Print Trailer Page
To print a Trailer Page (i.e. Client File Activity Instruction page) with the report, the user must select "Y" (ie. Yes) from the list provided; to not print a Trailer Page, the user must select "N" (ie. No). The user also has the option to manually enter either "Y" or "N". This field defaults to "N".

Print Task Summary/Budget
To print the current Client's associated Task Summary and Budget with the report, the user must select "Y" (ie. Yes) from the list provided; to not print the current Client's associated Task Summary and Budget, the user must select "N" (ie. No). The user also has the option to manually enter either "Y" or "N". This field defaults to "Y".

Save Options as Default
To save the selections made in the User Parameters section as Defaults, the user must select the "Y" (ie. Yes) from the list provided; to not save the selections as Defaults, the user must select the "N" (ie. No) from the list provided. The user also has the option to manually enter either "Y" or "N". This field defaults to "N".
