New Case Report

The New Case Report screen in divided into two sections; System Parameters and User Parameters. In the System Parameters section, the user must specify details for the format of the report; in the User Parameters section, the user must specify details pertaining to the content of the report. Report Description

The New Case Report is produced based on a user specified Office, range of Departments, Timekeeper Type, range of Timekeepers, and range of Natures of Practice. The user must also specify the range of dates; new cases that have dates within this range and that also fit the other criteria specified (i.e. belong to Office X, Department X, etc) will be included in the report.

The report information details the following: Client Number and Name, Matter Number and Name, Nature Number and Description, and Date Opened. The percentage per Originating Timekeeper is also displayed.

 

User Parameters

User Parameters

Office
From the list provided, the user must select
the name of the Office for which the report will be produced. The names of all Offices associated with your Firm will be displayed in the list. To include all Offices in the report, the user must select the Select All option. The user also has the option to manually enter the unique identifier of the Office. This field defaults to the Select All option (i.e. by default, all Offices will be included in the report).

Department X to X
From the lists provided, the user must define the range of Departments to be included in the report information.
The user also has the option to manually enter the unique identifiers of the Departments. These fields default to the Select All options (i.e. by default, all Departments will be included in the report).

Lawyer (Timekeeper) Type
From the list provided, the user must select the type of Timekeeper for which the report will be generated. Valid options are Responsible, Billing, Originating, and Working. This field defaults to the Responsible Timekeeper option.

Start Timekeeper, End Timekeeper
From the lists provided, the user must define the range of Timekeepers for whom the report will be generated.
The user also has the option to manually enter the unique identifiers of the Timekeepers. These fields default to the first and last Timekeepers in the lists (i.e. by default, all Timekeepers will be included in the report).

Start Nature, End Nature
From the lists provided, the user must define the range of Natures of Practice to be included in the report.
The user also has the option to manually enter the unique identifiers of the Natures of Practice. These fields default to the first and last Natures in the lists (i.e. by default, all Natures of Practice will be included in the report).

Start Date, End Date
The user must manually enter the range of dates for which the report will be generated (i.e. new cases that have dates within this range and that also fit the other criteria specified in the fields above will be included in the report). These fields default to the current system date.
