Matter Financial Summary Report

The Matter Financial Summary Report screen in divided into two sections; System Parameters and User Parameters. In the System Parameters section, the user must specify details for the format of the report; in the User Parameters section, the user must specify details pertaining to the content of the report. Report Description

The Matter Financial Summary Report is generated based on a user specified Accounting Month and Year, and can be produced by Timekeeper (Option1) or by Nature (Option2). If the user chooses to produce the report by Timekeeper, they must select the Start and End Timekeepers to define the range of Timekeepers for which the report will be produced. The user also has the option to manually enter the unique identifiers of the Timekeepers. If the user chooses to produce the report by Nature, they must select the Start and End Natures to define the range of Natures for which the report will be produced. the user also has the option to manually enter the unique identifiers of the Natures.

For each Timekeeper or Nature within the selected range, the report includes the following information: Total Unbilled Hours, Total Unbilled Fees, Total Unbilled Disbursements, AR Fees, AR Disbursements, AR Tax, Total AR, Regular Trust, Special trust, and Total Trust. Totals are presented per column of Unbilled, per column of AR, and per column of Trust. The report information is lifetime to date (i.e. up to and including the specified Accounting Month and Year). When the report is produced for the entire range of Timekeepers or Natures, the totals can be balanced to the appropriate General Ledger Accounts.

Report By
From the list provided, the user must select the format by which the report will be produced. Valid options are Timekeeper and Nature. The user also has the option to manually enter the desired Report By option. This field defaults to the Timekeeper option. If the user selects the Timekeeper option, they must continue to the Option 1 section of the screen; if the user selects the Nature option, they must continue to the Option 2 section of the screen.

Option 1- Timekeeper
From the lists provided, the user must select the range of Timekeepers to be included in the report. The user also has the option to manually enter the unique identifiers of the Timekeepers. These fields default to the first and last Timekeepers in the list.

Option 2- Nature
From the lists provided, the user must select the range of Natures to be included in the report. The user also has the option to manually enter the unique identifiers of the Natures. These fields default to the first and last Natures in the list.

Accounting Month, Accounting Year
The user must either accept the default Accounting Month and Year or enter a different Accounting Month and Year. The Accounting Month can either be manually entered or selected from the list provided; the Accounting Year must be manually entered. These fields default to the current Accounting Period.
