Closed Matters Report

The Closed Matters Report screen is divided into two sections; System Parameters and User Parameters. In the System Parameters section, the user must specify details for the format of the report; in the User Parameters section, the user must specify details pertaining to the content of the report. For general information on running reports and on defining System Parameters, please refer to the Running Reports help document.

 

Report Description
The Closed Matters Report is generated for a user specified range of Clients, Matters, Closed File Numbers, and File Closed Dates. This report is essentially lifetime to date (i.e. displays information from the time of file inception to the present). Report details for each Matter include the following: Time Transactions, Disbursement Transactions, Trust Account Transactions, and Accounts Receivable Transactions.
User Parameters

Client Number X to X
The user must manually enter the unique identifiers that will define the range of Clients to be included in the report. These fields default to "0" and "zzzzzzzzzz" (i.e. by default, all Clients with closed Matters will be included in the report).

Matter Number X to X
The user must manually enter the unique identifiers that will define the range of Matters to be included in the report (i.e. this field allows the user to narrow the range according to the Matter's original number, rather than the number assigned once closed). These fields default to "0" and "zzzzzzzz" (i.e. by default, all closed Matters will be included in the report).

Closed Number X to X
The user must manually enter the unique identifiers that will define the range of closed Matters to be included in the report (i.e. Matters are assigned a new number when they are closed; this field allows the user to narrow the range according to the number assigned once the Matter closed). These fields default to "0000000000" and "zzzzzzzzzz" (i.e. by default, all closed Matters will be included in the report).

Closed Date X to X
The user must manually enter the range of Closed Dates that will define the range of Matters to be included in the report (i.e. Matters closed within this range of dates will be included in the report). These fields default to the current system date.

Suppress Zero
To include in the report records displaying zero balance transactions, the user must select "Y" (ie. Yes) from the drop down list provided; to supress records displaying zero balance transactions, the user must select "N" (ie. No) from the drop down list provided. This field defaults to the "Y" option.
